Founded in 1969 under the sponsorship of the Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club, the O.C.S.C. Women’s Auxiliary plays a vital role in supporting the club’s objectives and fostering community engagement.
Purpose and Membership
Initially limited to wives and daughters of O.C.S.C. members, the auxiliary now welcomes anyone who supports our club’s mission. Our primary objectives include promoting social activities within the club and enhancing O.C.S.C.’s involvement in the community.
Meetings and Activities
The auxiliary meets on the third Thursday of each month (except December) in the main hall of the clubhouse at 7:30 p.m. Meetings typically begin with business discussions followed by engaging programs and refreshments. Prospective members and guests are always welcome. Annual dues are $4.00, along with a one-time initiation fee of $5.00. We keep members informed through a monthly newsletter detailing our activities.
Community Engagement
Our activities are diverse, including landscaping projects, organizing Easter and Christmas parties for kids, hosting fundraisers, and assisting with Hunter Safety classes. During winter months, we provide dinners on membership meeting nights.
