Membership and Costs
- Junior Membership: $10.00 to join O.C.S.C.
- Junior Rifle Club Membership: Included with Junior Membership.
- Civilian Marksmanship Program Fee: $5.00 per evening of shooting. This fee covers ammunition, targets, range fees, and rifle use.
Support from NRA and CMP
- National Rifle Association (NRA): Sets proficiency standards. Juniors earn certificates, diplomas, brassards, and awards for four shooting positions—prone, sitting, kneeling, and offhand.
- Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP): Provides discounted ammunition. Club-owned rifles and equipment are also acquired through CMP.
The Junior Rifle Club concludes its season with an awards party on the last Monday in March.

How old do I have to be to join? Ages 10 through 17.
Do I have to bring my own gun? No, but if you own a bolt action rifle with a peep sight, front aperture, and sling, you may use it.
When and where do we shoot?
- New Shooters: Starting the second Monday in September, sessions are held from 6:30 – 8:30 PM in the Range House. The first session is for registration only. The season ends in late March with an awards party. Parents are welcome on Monday nights.
- Past Shooters: Registration is on the second Monday in October from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Start times may vary.
