February 2018 Shotgun News

Let me start off by wishing all of our fellow OCSC members a Happy New Year from the shotgun club, since I missed the January newsletter due date. Sorry

Our first league for 2018 has begun, and is off to fast start despite the coldest weather we’ve had in a long time. Feisty competition is expected for this Winter Chill Skeet League that consists of 400 birds, over 8 weeks, with 2 man teams.

SAVE THE DATE:  March 10,2018, is the scheduled date for this years Shotgun Banquet. Dinner tickets are once again $25/each and are available from Ken Krcek @ 248-245-8503. If you had banquet tickets last year, you have until February 10th to purchase your same table as last year. After that all tickets will be sold on first come, first served basis.

This year’s Gun of the Year is a beautiful Browning, Maxis, Sporting Clays model. It has a 28” barrel, will take up to a 3” shell with gorgeous Grade 5 French Walnut wood stock and forearm. Tickets are 3 for $10 and available form any shotgun desk worker. They are also available at Friday fish fry and general membership meetings. This raffle includes a 2nd place prize of a 43” Hitachi TV, and a 3rd prize of $100 cash. Need not be present to win this raffle.

We also have 3 other raffles during the banquet which will include 2 other shotgun raffles an a Ten Point Renegade crossbow. You will have to be present to participate in these raffles as well as a couple 50/50 drawings.

We are expecting another full house, so please get your tickets early to reserve you seat and get in on really night.

Don’t forget, this is the only OCSC banquet that has pheasant as part your dinner fare.

As Always,

Be Safe-Shoot Often,

Dan Valentini
